204 pieces of Chinese treasures return

A spectator was watching the recovered Buddha's head in Longmen Grottoes
at the "special exhibition of National Cultural Heritage Day, achievement
in key Chinese cultural relic collection" being held in Beijing early
June. It is learnt that starting 2002, the Chinese government formally
launched special funds of key cultural relic collection, and appropriates
50 million yuan (US$6.25 million) annually to recover precious cultural
relics lost overseas. So far, actual spending totaled around 200 million
yuan and 204 pieces of Chinese treasures are return.
