The Old Ladies' House is located in the old district of Macao. As it housed many old ladies and actually served as an old folk's home for old women, neighbors call it the Old Ladies' House. It became unoccupied when the old ladies moved to new accommodation in June 1999. The Old Ladies' House provided for more than 100 residents at its peak. In June 1984, the Cultural Institute of Macau (CIM) designated the Old Ladies' House as a protected cultural relic building.
